Issue

I can map the "Lock Desktop" key on my Lenovo SK-8815 (L) keyboard as a Lock screen keyboard shortcut, but nothing happens when I afterwards press the key.

keyboard

Steps to reproduce

  • Open the Keyboard application.
  • Go to Shortcuts tab.
  • Select System category.
  • Select Lock screen keyboard shortcut.
  • Create a binding for the "Lock Desktop" key.

Expected behaviour

Pressing the mapped key locks the desktop, but nothing happens. Using the other mappings (see the screenshot above) works.

Other information

Running sudo showkey and pressing the "Lock Desktop" key prints the following information:

keycode 152 press
keycode 152 release

Mapping and pressing the "Lock Desktop" key worked in Linux Mint 21 before I installed Linux Mint 22.
