You can do that with a template if you provide the data to be filled in as a YAML metadata file: see TEMPLATES in the manual.

Dear all,
does anyone already made a serial letter engine with pandoc? Merging addresses from some datafile CSV or JSON with a markdown file resulting in a multipage pdf with all the letters?
