Latest HA Addon cannot detect HM-MOD-RPI-PCB

Describe the issue you are experiencing

I installed Home Assistant, added this repo to the addon store and downloaded Raspberrymatic. Connected the HM-MOD and restartet the Pi. The Addon will not detect the Hardware. Tested with several Pi's, power supplies etc.

Hardware is instantly detected by Raspberrymatic OS.!!!

1. Install HA and Raspberrymatic addon
2. Install Hardware
3. Reboot

@majuss, the issue ticket you created does not seem to report a general issue/problem/bug in RaspberryMatic itself, but rather seems to point at a local usage issue that rather requires some support using a discussion or support fora. It will therefore be moved to the discussion area where you can continue for identifying solutions to your issue.

Before a HomeMatic RF Module like RPI-RF-MOD or HM-MOD-RPI-PCB will work with a RaspberryPi on which HomeAssistant is running and in which RaspberryMatic is running as a HA Addon, you need to perform manual changes to your HomeAssistantOS installation. See here:

Take special note on Step 2 (Enable GPIO bus support in HAos) which is required to get these HomeMatic rf modules running.

Or inside the log: no rf hardware found → if you're on HA please alter the /boot/config.txt

I would argue that like 90% of the users don't want to know anything about the documentation but the HA integration. It's waaay too much text. I actually had the correct documentation page open in one of my tabs, but never read it because the wall of text.

I install the addon and briefly fly over the Documentation tab in HA and I bet most of people will do it :D

Please help me. Are you really still arguing that it is not your fault that you didn‘t manage to get things running simply because you refuse or try to avoid to read documentation that actually exists? Sorry, but IMHO this is a somewhat awkward attitude.

Point is: Things are properly documented and the documentation is linked in the short Addon documentation as well which you seem to have read shortly at least. Thus, it is everyone’s responsibility to make sure to make first himself/herself familiar with new technology before actually turning on the fan… Sorry to say so, but I am quite astonished that you refuse to acknowledge the point that it was actually your own fault that your installation did not work right from the start and that you still think that the documentation or the developers behind it are to blame.

Furthermore, please keep in mind that this is an open source community project here which you freely use without any costs and still you raise high expectations here.

But to keep it rather short: If you feel something should be improved documentation wise, please feel free to submit a PR or change the documentation yourself directly since this is actually a wiki editable for any GitHub user.
