xeokit News
Since xeolabs released the first beta version of the xeokit SDK on February 7, 2019, the SDK has been adopted by several AEC startups and industry leaders who have integrated it into their Web applications and SaaS platforms. This has also resulted in partnerships with companies who have sponsored the SDK's development, commissioned the development of custom plugins, and generously contributed back to the SDK's open source repositories.

OpenProject have released OpenProject BIM 10.4, containing an IFC model viewer built on the xeokit SDK.
xeolabs worked with OpenProject to create the viewer, which is also usable as a stand-alone viewer.

xeolabs has teamed up with D-Studio in Mechelen, Belgium, to build a suite of Web-based 4D BIM applications on the xeokit SDK.
D-Studio are a technically-savvy company with a ton of experience, and will continue to support the development of xeokit capabilities, both proprietary and open source.
Ken Russell of the Khronos Group gave a short demonstration of xeokit at the SIGGRAPH 2019 WebGL BOF in Los Angeles!

xeolabs has partnered with OpenProject GmbH in Berlin, Germany to develop a BIM version of their open source project management software, which will use xeokit to visualize models and issues.
As we develop this software, we'll also release some handy open source libraries to help developers build applications on xeokit.
Stay tuned!
bimspot GmbH of Vienna, Austria, have adopted xeokit to power their online SaaS platform for IFC data visualization.
bimspot have generously contributed two open source projects to support xeokit users:
- xeokit-react, a reference example of how to integrate xeokit with React, and
- xeokit-metadata, a CLI tool to extract JSON metadata from IFC STEP files.
BIMData, in Lyon, France, are upgrading their online BIM platform to use xeokit. Previously, BIMData used xeogl, an earlier WebGL-based 3D library from xeolabs, but are now upgrading to xeokit to leverage its superior performance and extensive plugins library.
xeolabs contracted with BIMData in 2017-2018 to develop their existing 3D BIM viewer, and is currently helping them to migrate the viewer to xeokit.
HOK is developing an IFC viewer on xeokit.
Chloe Sun from HOK has also helped debug some of the remaining issues in the beta release, and has also helped develop xeokit-react, a reference example that shows how to integrate xeokit with React.
D-Studio in Mechelen, Belgium, are using xeokit to develop several high-performance BIM visualization applications. D-Studio are also supporting xeokit by sponsoring the development of various open source features and plugins.
PlanRadar GmbH of Vienna, Austria have chosen xeokit for their Web-based construction management SaaS platform.
xeolabs has contracted with PlanRadar to develop custom xeokit plugins for loading and navigating IFC models from their data pipeline.
UniZite AS in Norway have chosen xeokit to power their online building management system (BMS).
xeolabs recently collaborated with Toni Marti, principle 3D engineer at UniZite, to develop an open source plugin that efficiently loads BIM models from an optimized binary format, along with a CLI tool to convert glTF models to the format. The format performs awesomely and was immediately adopted by xeokit users.
Konstruktum GmbH in Paderborn, Germany has adopted xeokit for its online SaaS platform for BIM, task and defect management.
BuildSort of Perth, Western Australia, has adopted xeokit to power its online SaaS platform for construction supply chain management.
Eyeonim of Limburg, Netherlands, are using xeokit within an online building management system (BMS) that loads 3D models from BIMServer.
More details will follow once their application goes live!
