Feature Request:

I propose to implement a minimal set of governance features in the Daedalus wallet to support CIP-1694, focusing on essential functionalities for ADA holders. This initial implementation will enable Daedalus users to participate in Cardano's on-chain governance through voting delegation and casting votes.

Proposed Features:

  1. Voting Delegation:

    • Add interface for delegating voting power to DReps
    • Include option to self-delegate (become own DRep)
    • Provide quick options for 'Abstain' and 'No Confidence' delegation
  2. Governance Action Viewing:

    • Implement list view of current governance actions
    • Display basic information for each action:
      • Title
      • Brief description
      • Voting deadline
  3. Voting Interface:

    • Create interface for casting votes on active governance actions
    • Include 'Yes', 'No', and 'Abstain' voting options
    • Show user's voting power for each action
  4. Basic Governance Dashboard:

    • Display user's current voting power based on ADA holdings
    • Show current DRep delegation status

This minimal implementation aims to provide Daedalus users with essential tools for participating in Cardano governance, focusing on the core needs of ADA holders.
