The lists in both screens clear and reload after running any action. One then has to scroll to find your place again. Is there perhaps another way to do this?

To avoid this behavior, differences of each list must be computed after every actions and applied after their execution. It is a big work which will take a lot of time.
To simplify implementation and provide an acceptable version in a reasonable time, the choice fell on a plugin reload after performing the actions.
It is more a performance issue.
