Rotate Geographic area selection rectangle

Hi,

For cities along a coast that are neither north/south or east/west (eg. Brest, France), it would be useful to be able to rotate the selection rectangle to be able to follow the coast.
Currently the rectangle selection includes a lot of water. Being able to rotate it a bit would allow to maximize paper usage.

Unfortunately the underlying Mapnik rendering library does not support map rotation easily.
