Change smart-tab default value

Hello everyone!
I'd like to propose the change of smart-tab default value from true to false. Why? Well, not only because a lot of (first-time) users get confused by the behaviour (the cursor "jumping around randomly", more than one person asked a question like this on matrix), but also because, being a tree-sitter dependent feature, the behaviour is inconsistent and the outcome is not always the same (for example in simple *.text files).
Let me be clear, I am not against the smart-tab feature per-se, it is an usefull feature if you get used to it; what I am trying to say here is that it feels to me like something that should be opt-in, i.e. the user should be using this if and only if their are aware of its existence.
