Clearing git gutter after git commit -a

I've been looking at Git gutters as implemented in #3890.

In Visual Studio Code, after I run git commit -a and go back to my editor, the Git markers will get cleared.

Meanwhile, in Helix, the gutters won't clear until I, at the very least (AFAICT), reload the file with :reload.

Generally, by the time I notice the gutters, I'm not sure if doing :reload will throw away work.

Is the winning play to do :w and then :reload on every window, or am I missing a better way?

You have to do :reload. This will be fixed once the file watcher is implemented.
