It seems VS Code v1.94.0 breaks the language comment feature. I'm not sure if it is completely related, but it looks like VS Code will be reverting a change to the YAML grammar in v1.94.3 (see microsoft/vscode#224862). If this fixes the issue, I'll close this issue, if not I'll open an issue with VS Code.
