branched from #1 with @KartikTalwar

my thoughts:

  • Maybe we could do a Google hangouts with the designers just to get some broad strokes about how the app is going to look? If not with designers then with whoever's conception of the app is most valued at this point.
  • aside: I am lacking a scope of the contributors of this project, so I'm hesitant to make any decisions for fear of excluding other important opinions ---- who are all the contributors for this project? i.e. if it's just @KartikTalwar and me then we can move on just our opinions, but if not we should get other feedback

I'm gonna be helping out with the native app if we do one. Unfortunately that means my decisions matter too.

The layout doesn't matter from my side. If the designer wants anything, I can do it. Stupid animations and all. Just give me mocks.

Kelly Li has experience in this. Please add her to the repo @KartikTalwar

If she reads this: I'll only need slices in ONE SIZE. Ever.

It's probably a good idea to make a doc fully outlining all the functions first.

Some ideas:

  • Map of food, or a list of locations with food and what food there is
  • Schedule and reminders for talks x min before starting
  • 24/7 text and email support, or we get volunteers that can actually help
  • Chat room (?) Not sure how well it worked out for Mhacks, didn't seem super active?
  • Tweeter feed/ announcements/ give aways

Obviously this applies to iOS as well, I'm assuming this is the repo we're using for both apps. Also the product design needs its own issue. Can we get Nicole involved in this or is she too busy with sponsorship?

Designer circle jerk shenanigans.

Just added on to @KellyLi's list

  • List of workshops and talks
  • List of judges and prizes (overall and sponsor)
  • List of mentors (maybe allow booking/schedule a booth visit)
    • kind of like ping pong acknowledgement]
  • List of bus return/departure schedules
    • Mostly a sub category for event agenda after closing ceremony
  • Maybe ability to tweet directly from the inside? (vanity feature for now)
