Steps to reproduce:

Clone to the project
Run source gityap.sh
Run gityap start
Access the website
Click Chat

Expected: Everything works right away, or packages are installed as needed

Actual: Get error messages about missing packages:

websockets
chardet

Maybe it should offer to install the packages?

Should it check for them before trying to use them?
