I really like this display tool but curious about how you generate the jpg images for the mapper.

I used QGIS Print Layout to create the JPEG from a tiff file. The important is to create a Layout that is twice as wide as it is high and to fit the map exactly within the Layout.

So you started from a .tiff file with the global GBIF view? If so where did you get the .tiff?
