Layer Control not appearing in geemap.foliumap #639

Hi, I am trying to add a layer control to an interactive map which I will then post to datapane. When I run the following code, I do not receive an error but nothing appears.
Any ideas? |

Move this code block to the end of your notebook or simply delete it. The layer control will be added automatically when the map is displayed. If you want to add the layer control explicitly, it should be the second last line of your code. In other words, you should finish everything else (e.g., adding layer, legend) with the map before adding the layer control. Otherwise, you might see some unexpected results. |

I tried both running it without the line of code and running the .addLayerControl() command as the second-to-last line, but with no change to the output. |

Ok - I think I figured it out. I removed the Google Maps basemap (setting it to false, as shown below). The output map then contained the layer control - almost as if it were covered by the Google Maps base layer.
