Can we have an custom-nginx recipe, similar to the custom-redis recipe that makes redis easier to customize?

Changes are:

nginx recipe will load some variables from attributes, which can be customized from custom-nginx
nginx recipe will get its templates from custom-nginx (pass cookbook 'custom-nginx') to template calls in nginx recipes

A simpler approach:

Implement Make disk alerts persistent #1 above (modify the nginx recipes to load variables from nginx/attributes/default.rb)
Customers can override nginx/attributes/default.rb by following https://github.com/engineyard/ey-cookbooks-stable-v5/wiki/Customizing-Your-Environment-Using-Overlay-Chef-Recipes
