I have a TSDZ2B, 36V, 250W motor with a VLCD6 display and a 36V 20Ah battery. The OSF version I’m using is v20.1C.6-beta-1 with the default assist mode set to Power Assist.
Today my wife mentioned that the motor cut the assistance while she was riding. I checked it myself but couldn’t reproduce the issue. However I noticed something else. If I turn on the display while resting my foot on the pedal there’s no support on start or afterward. I have to turn off the display and turn it back on without touching the pedals to get it to work.

The assistance cut can be caused by the presence of a problem/error and a code should be displayed, without that code it is difficult to understand the cause.
Look in the instructions for the list of expected errors.
When the display is turned on, the pedals must be free for the self-calibration of the torque sensor.
If you keep your feet on the pedals it goes into error E02, it is normal and expected.
