Have epaint expose methods for drawing characters without going through text layout?

Drawing a char at a specified position can sometimes be useful.
Such as when building terminal emulators or code editors. The font is usually monospace, the positions are easy to calculate, working without a text layout engine can be more straight forward.
Without an obvious way to draw chars, some may resort to converting each character to a string and construct LayoutJobs unnecessarily
