Building tests with Makefiles is harder than it needs to be because the ordinary build process defines a TEST_NAME macro that matches "test name". There should be a sane way to pass this information so that a Makefile build doesn't mean opting out of automating this and ending up with hard-to-diagnose bugs if the test name (or expectations thereof) changes
