I need to specify an additional file suffix for makemessages. Therefor I use
./manage.py makemessages -l de -e html,txt,tex
But this seems not to work together with vinaigrette as no strings are generated for db content with the -e param.
If I run makemessage without -e the strings from the DB fields are generated, but then my tex files are not processed.

I have exactly the same problem.
You can get around it by adding the "py" extension to the -e parameter.
