NLS not working in the latest Eclipse

I'm working on a big Eclipse project and I can't get the NLS to trigger. What am I doing wrong?

Version: 2024-09 (4.33.0)
Build id: 20240905-0614

1. Open project properties
2. Find NLS
3. Switch to error
4. Project gets rebuild
5. I do not see errors

Is there anything that could suppress it?
