Sounds like a corrupt USB drive? Not sure how Dumpling made that happen (maybe lack of space without enabling the empty size check?), but to fix it I'd recommend moving your files of the USB stick onto your PC and then formatting it and putting everything back.

I can't format it, it says something about it being read only
