I was a bit confused initially with all the different formatters, but later settled on Alejandra as well. Do you also have a language server set up? Navigating through all the different functions in Nix and Nixpkgs is not always easy, so having autocomplete would be very helpful.

Hi, no, I don't use a language server, and I use just nixpkgs search instead. I am also using the Benois' Nix VSCode Extension which provides basic language hihglithing. It's sufficient for my needs currently, but I guess exploring a language server won't hurt
