A nice trick to improve performance is to cache results once they have been calculated.
You can simply use pn.state.cache (a dictionery) to cache DataFrames, HoloViews objects etc.
pn.state.cache
Or if you want to persists to disk and maybe also set expiration time you can use for example DiskCache.
