Thanks @devemux86 for the new beta! 👍 To list all the new features in the announcement post is nice. E.g. what does a user have to set/select in which sub menu to make the new (re-)calculation options properly work?

We have a new setting that is mentioned (also in image) in the announcement and in the topics of the features. The topics of the features also have the instructions for how each new feature works.
Most programs I checked (on Linux) use Ctrl+Shift+Z (also faster to redo without moving fingers). |

The "Options" in the "Routing" menu opens directly the active router's options, e.g. BRouter. We could add the route calculation mode in the route menu, when long press the route line? |

Exactly, that's the point, calculating individual smaller route sections is very fast. Also many routing actions are now done offline without calculation, see here: |

This is a nice update - I like the coloured buttons to set Shaping/Way-points, it feels more fluid regardless of the screen orientation and you can instantly recognise them. I suspect that if those buttons are ever re-arranged, it won't matter so much as the colour-memory will be in most people's minds. |

Cannot delete a Shaping-Point that is created after extending a route, eg: I create a Start+End point from the nice new menu and then "Extend route (end)" which changes the previous end to Shaping-Point 1. I cannot press+hold+delete that item. It removes OK using the Routing/Waypoints list. |

@airald it was confusing with several reports, so updates are checked like before in the offline maps screen. Note: apart from BRouter which is updated daily, map / poi updates are not so important to check them constantly. |

I think what airald means is that the indicator on the menu tile is not anymore shown, even though updates are available. |

@bios4 this is what I tried to explain, that several users complained for wrong notifications by the servers. Anyway, updates are always available to check and perform in the offline maps screen (at the 3rd tab). |

@Leeb64 thanks for the tests. See here the avoid options of BRouter default car profiles (they use absolute avoid). Factor 0 is absolute avoid (100%). Or maybe some avoid options cannot have strengths and can only be on or off? |

With Beta-8, I've noticed a display bug with the yellow Via-Points. Tested and replicated with a simple A-ViaPoint-B route created in-app as well as a multi-stop GPX from the PC. Waypoints are set to appear at level 9, Favorites at level 10. A Favorite in the same place has no effect, the pin stays invisible until you perform the above zoom+recalc. |

Use the Correct Misplaced via points tool OR you must sure notice the alternative indication by the red u-turn icon shown. Best practice anyway is place the route via_shaping points always away from all possible street junctions. Advantage of the correct misplaced via(shaping) points tool.

I was able to change the language on my Samsung with Android 14, but it was only changed after the app was restarted. When changing back, the language was changed again without restarting. |

We press "Show on map" on a group with 3 routes / tracks (or could be 3 multiple selected routes / tracks):
The "Show on map" screen opens with visible unchecked and zoom level 6 disabled (it must have a value). |

I would like to draw attention to one more, insignificant visual detail. If Favorites overlap on the map, I think the groups lower on the list get drawing priority? This means that the points of the group that is higher on the list of groups are covered by those from lower places. I understand that this is due to the order in which the points are drawn according to the group list, but shouldn't it be the other way around? Sorry to bother you with such a really small thing, but we strive for perfection 🙂 |

Sorry, but I will come back to the topic for a moment. I think I misunderstood that in 3D mode, points closer to us are displayed OVER the points further away. While this is indeed the case for points in one group, this is not the case for different groups. I still think it's the group's position on the group list that determines it - but in reverse order. 3D view:

I still prefer the Normal route mode. What did I expect ? Select in Cruiser Profiles > "Motorcycle BRouter Kurvig offline". This main profile is applied in the navtrack file at trk src Brouter and trk type Kurvig. Practically, however, the motorcyclist wants to design the first part with a profile "Fastest". Cruiser Profiles > "Motorcycle BRouter Kurvig offline" at the design remains original and intact ! Brouter profiles. |
