I have created a maintained version of this software: Now Playing for Spotify. Since hard-forking this repository, I have released v0.8.1 as of writing and v0.10.1 as of editing.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes in case the maintainers decide to return and would like to implement changes. But the two main maintainers seem to be no longer be active on the GitHub platform in general.

The app has now changed so much that merging codebases is next to impossible.

Could the original README.md reference the hard fork as a maintained alternative?

Original PR Description

I recently submitted three pull requests and some comments to old Issues on this repo since I still use this project. I also notice a number of security automatic PRs that have not been merged.

Are there any active maintainers here? I'd hate to see the project die given it is still in the Homebrew Cask repository.

@paced paced changed the title Is this still maintained? I created a maintained version of this software. Original question: Is this repo still maintained? May 25, 2021
