What happened?

I created several instances of type AppService. Then upgraded provider-jet-azure from 0.11.0-preview to 0.12.0-preview. The AppService instances can not be refreshed anymore.

CannotObserveExternalResource
cannot run refresh: refresh failed: parsing Azure ID: parse "SystemAssigned": invalid URI for request: : File name: main.tf.json

How can we reproduce it?

  1. Install version 0.12.0-preview
  2. Create an instance of AppService
  3. Watch events and see that resource cannot be refreshed

What environment did it happen in?

Crossplane version: 1.9.0

Include at least the version or commit of Crossplane you were running. Consider
also including your:

  • Cloud provider or hardware configuration: Azure
  • Kubernetes version (use kubectl version): v1.21.9
  • Kubernetes distribution (e.g. Tectonic, GKE, OpenShift): AKS
