About the job opportunities at ChesslaBlab

Following the discussion below as a result of misconfigured GitHub notifications, we're sorry to say that ChesslaBlab is not currently offering any job opportunities because the organization is not profitable at the moment.

• Let's give ChesslaBlab the love it deserves!

While some of the contributors seem to be using the word "work" in some of the issues, this is "open source contributions" actually.

In fact, well, I can't even guarantee the maintenance of the Node List because it has a cost of about EUR 50 per month. The reality is that ChesslaBlab is making me poor, and we'd need to come up with an angle to make money out of this amazing open source project.

We could set up donations like other open-source projects do, and promote this project on social media so that is gains more traction.

Great idea;
If we could get schools involved - like teaching kids how to play, setting up mini competitions and so forth - then there is more changes to more break through and make money.

Then the organization should be set up as an NGO.

We could setup a subscription module too. Pay only a pound per month, something really affordable to all lovers of the game and none lovers.
or we could create “a twist” in the game itself to attract more people; different versions and ways of playing it, setting up new rules and concepts, to evolve the game a bit more.
I learnt to play when I was growing up, 30 years ago and the game still the same nothing new at all.
If we come up with different ideas for the industry and take it to another level…. that is when you can make money or even franchise it.

Couldn't agree more, the idea of improving the game a bit is a plus . It can create a different view which helps new peeps to explore it more and more. Subscription option is great point as well by doing so we can add monetary benefits as well who knows in future we work full time in ChesslaBlab. Public reaching is must so they find it interesting and engage in more learning through chessLab. Tbh I'd love to hear what other members have their opinions in this.
