Cross Flashing and Eeprom

Hi chaps

Not an issue as such but a query how VWFlash behaves with the Eeprom

I have a donor Simos 18.1 with 5G0906259B from a VW Golf
I have Immod off and unlocked with VW_Flash and flashed with 8S0906259B for an Audi TT
So far so good.
But when boot reading EEPROM again it still contains signatures of 5G0906259B

VW Flash only updates the fash area through OBD but is there any way to update the EEPROM to read correctly?
Will the car still run ok even though the EEPROM is still relating to the 5G0 and adaptation values will be incorrect?
Maybe the flash will update the eeprom automatically as it goes through ignition cycles.

Or is it suggested to do a full flash of 8S0 using ODIS and then unlock again.
