Flash eMMC thru boot menu fails with Samsung 256GB SD card #107

I can boot a headless Yocto image having imaged the same 256GB SD using bmaptool. So something used in the eMMC write sequence has a problem with large devices. |
@jwinarske with your Yocto the build, it's using ti's 2023.04 u-boot correct? I believe this is still related to our older 2021.01 ti branch, i've finished porting the Play over, i need to focus on the BBAI64's uboot.. Here's a quick test daily image with the newer version of u-boot.. https://rcn-ee.net/rootfs/debian-arm64-12-bookworm-minimal-v5.10-ti/2023-10-03/bbai64-ti-2023.04-debian-12.1-minimal-arm64-2023-10-03-6gb.img.xz i'll add that card to my list on amazon, with the past u-boot, i had issues with Samsung 32GB EVO Select, and Samsung 64GB EVO Plus.. Side note, it could also be the 6.1 vs 5.10.x kernel... |
Yocto build is using If I have PCIe populated with a AW-CB375NF I get this:
Booting to rescue image at this point works, and I get wlan0 and bt working. In this state if I remove the PCIe module, and let it boot this is what I get:
After this the only way to a working kernel is to boot selecting

Flash eMMC thru boot menu fails when using a Samsung 256 Pro Plus SD card. Selecting 2 ends up at
(initramfs)
