@emjohnst - Emails are sent out by the system to notify users that the process has completed. What email address would you like it to come from? Does [email protected] work, or would you like to use another one?

Currently working in DLVR for Heritage Sites. Other resource types are causing an issue due to an Arches Core bug causing the recrord sorting to fail. I also need to do a bit of work to silo the tasks between BCRHP & BCFMS, and DLVR & TEST instances.
@emjohnst - Can you please confirm what email address you'd like automated messages to come from?

@bferguso I see where the download is now, is there a point to providing an email if the email doesn't have a link to the download? How do the downloads remain in the notification tab for public users that are not logged in?

@bferguso It is possible to set the export so that the user has to define what resource type they want to export? This may help gatekeep people from going to the site and simply downloading the entire database

No, there isn't any way to do that by default, it would require additional customization to provide that functionality.

I believe it uses session ID so if the anonymous user's session times out it would no longer be available. I'd need to confirm this for sure, and dig into how long the sessions last for.

Please let me know if you want me to look into this or if you'd just like to do some testing on your own with it.

@bferguso

  1. Can you please make the email come from [email protected]
  2. There is no link in the email (see image). Can you include link to downloads in email? Or remove option to enter email in Arches.
  3. If using email please update first line of message: "Hello, Your request to download a set of search results from the BC Register of Historic Places is now ready."
    4. Internal users get an error message. This is likely because heritage site submission and sandcastle don't have define csv exports - can we make them have csv exports just simply on all fields? - moved to 500 error when CSV export happens for resource types that have no exportable attributes #1108

@emjohnst

  • For the email link/format - lets just remove the email altogether then. I'd rather not implement new functionality before migrating to 7.6.x
  • I'd like to spin off Add project lifecycle badge #4 as a separate ticket as that's unrelated to this and should be tracked independently.

@bferguso sounds good, let's remove the email

Emails disabled. They can be re-enabled by internal users by editing their profile. We should be able to provide a link to the download if desired, but lets do that after we upgrade to 7.6.x.
