There are tons of ctags forks these days and it is becoming messier as time goes by. On the other side of the world, http://www.gnu.org/software/global is active (i.e. its author is responding to bugs and question actively) and yet it is not getting many improvements from the community. For the languages that global has built-in parsers, it can find references among other features (see https://github.com/OpenGrok/OpenGrok/wiki/Comparison-with-Similar-Tools).

I know it is a long shot but I really wish those improvements that you made in your fork can flow to global instead.
