Hi aseering, ran this on a new computer. It downloaded vcXsrv, but it did not install it.

Hm, that's odd... I don't suppose you captured the stdout of the command, or still have the relevant cmd window open and could post it here?

Nope! I did have Xming installed though

I figured out why this was happening: it's SourceForge being SourceForge:

Hm... Well, I haven't had to set up VcXsrv under WSL in a while, so I haven't had a reason/setup to use this script myself. Does anyone know what's up with Sourceforge, and want to submit a patch?

I think there is another issue.
The script downloads the installer, but doesn't actually run it. Or am I missing something?
