SUMMARY

While creating the recurring volume snapshot rule after multiple snapshots the old snapshots are not deleted and if we try to delete manually it throws an error "Failed to delete Snapshot" But the recently captured snapshot is able to be deleted.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Volume Snapshot -> Select the Volume -> Recurring volume snapshot -> Hourly -> Select the Timings , Time Zone and the number of snapshots be 1.

After 2 to 3 hours there exits a extra snapshot that need to be deleted but it is failed to delete.

EXPECTED RESULTS
Recently captured snapshot only to be listed.
ACTUAL RESULTS
After 2 to 3 snapshots the recently captured and the old snapshot are listed and the old snapshot is not able to be deleted.

Hi @hari1822, please share what primary storage you're using and what hypervisor.

Hi @slavkap we are currently using,
Primary Storage -> LVM and NFS
Hypervisor -> Xenserver

thanks @hari1822! I don't use Xenserver as a hypervisor but if you enable the debug level to the logs and share them probably we could find the reason for the issue
