I would like to avoid use mqtt and running your script externally, may you please create a module with this code? Thank you a lot!!

Hello thanks for your interest. The library should be useable as a module but will check that out. Converting to MQTT is one of the main reasons for it - so it's not something I would really want to remove;

When you say NR? could clarify what is please/

Thank you for your kind answer! :)
I meant Node Red, having your code available there as a module can simplify a lot for users that don't need MQTT for their projects. Also, having one process running (Node Red only) does simplify the management in case of crash (restarting, etc).
I hope it can be easy to port it there, thank you a lot!

The onvif module available now on NR is only able to ask a screenshot, and I'm aim to get on NR notifications of movements and alarms, I think your script can be really useful to many more users

Ah Node-Red... got you! Know it very well;

In my case the MQTT feed is being handled by NodeRED to take actions. will give it some thought!
