Thanks for sharing Mendel, it sounds very interesting. I heard about it in a podcast and they mentioned new documentation. I wonder when that may be coming?
Also, it is hard to find any discussion of Mendel, reviews and comments, in the web. Is this a result of my first point above or limited exposure?
Cheers,
Ashley.

Yeah, it is a shame that we couldn't make it in time. I was expecting one more week of work before the podcast aired, but you can see it's been a while and documentation is not good yet.
We have all sorts of documentation scattered all over the repo, but most of it is not user centric, is more about keeping stuff understandable and keeping maintainers informed about some of the internals. It is a lot of work to fix it and we don't have a lot of contributors.
I am the original creator of Mendel and still core contributor for most of the issues, but since I left Yahoo I also moved from US back to Brazil and I am finding it hard to find time to work on Mendel. I can't say much about Yahoo right now, they are undergoing a hard transition and as far as I can tell they have interest in continuing to allocate resources to Mendel, but it has not been the case in the past month or so.
We will get to it at some point, if you have interest you can learn a lot by reading examples/full-example and other information throughout all markdown files. We have people using Mendel outside Yahoo, so it is not impossible to do. It just takes a bit of work to onboard at the moment.
Thanks for your interest. Let's keep this issue open until we have time to have enough docs for an easier on boarding.
