Issue Description

After I choose an option from the (something like a grub) menu, I get nothing but a black screen. Tried searching online for this issue but no help. I've tried multiple times redownloading and reinstalling the iso onto my usb, tried waiting over an hour to see if its just slow to load but no.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Flashed the ISO to my USB stick
  2. Booted
  3. Selected an option from the boot menu (none of the three works)
  4. Get stuck in a black screen

On what version of Vanilla OS this happens?

Vanilla OS 2 Orchid

Additional Information

  • A cursor (terminal cursor, the _ thing) flashes for around a second and that gets stuck too.
  • One time I saw the Vanilla OS 2 Orchid splash screen when I tried the safe graphics mode but that also got stuck right after that (also I couldn't see that splash screen ever again, that was a one time thing)

I also have the same issue, I tried multiple USB drives with Balena Etcher, Rufus and Ventoy but nothing worked. The only thing that I see in common is that we both have nvidia (RTX 4060ti in my case).

Same issue here, RTX4070 SUPER

Same happens in a VirtualBox VM. Guest has 8 cores and 32GB RAM, Host has 16 cores and 64 GB RAM.
