Documentation on the absorption coefficient #619
Labels
Comments
Hi, Thanks for the feedback Yes the documentation is wrong. The default value is 0.1, it is hard wall, so there is little absorption. 0 is fully reflective and 1 fully absorbing. |

Hello everyone!
I suspect that the documentation on the absorption coefficient of building wall is wrong.
It is documented as follows:
"Description: Wall absorption coefficient [0,1] (between 0 : “fully absorbent” and 1 : “fully reflective”)".
However, the absorption coefficient of 0 means fully reflecting and 1 means fully absorbing.
The calculation results show higher sound levels when the coefficient is low, so I think modification is necessary just regarding the documentation.
Please confirm this.
Thanks.
