Using magnets at least on low gravity bodies (Minmus) is only possible with very low magnet force values (1-4), and even then the payload jumps around being able to flip any construction vehicle about with multiple times the force that was applied earlier. It renders magnets more or less unusable.
Switching vessels while lifting a payload (switching between payload, crane and a Kerbal for helping with orientation) causes the payload jumping out of place toppling the crane.
Furthermore targeting is not working any longer on magno pads.
Possible fix: Have magnetism work like docking ports (as it would in real life - i. e. sticking to the payload instead of behaving like an all-around tractor beam) and add rotation to the magnet panel on the crane.
