While those of us who are familiar with github and selecting downloads and releases find this to be a trivial issue, it's pretty clear that others who are interested in trying out Orca slicer are having a hard time finding the Windows version (I have to admit that a brain fart caused me to stare at the unzipped folder for a minute before realizing that I had downloaded the repository instead of the windows-specific release - to be fair, I'm running Bootcamp Windows 10 on a mac and my other computer is Ubuntu, so I cross my eyes sometimes).
This issue could be fixed with a simple addition to the README.md:
(thank you u/cerebralvision for helping) as well as people in real life asking me how to find the .exe for windows and I thought that adding this single step would clear up any confusion.
Lastly, the closest similar discussion here has been: #1218 and it runs along a similar line of helping those who aren't familiar with these things.

Hey team,
While those of us who are familiar with github and selecting downloads and releases find this to be a trivial issue, it's pretty clear that others who are interested in trying out Orca slicer are having a hard time finding the Windows version (I have to admit that a brain fart caused me to stare at the unzipped folder for a minute before realizing that I had downloaded the repository instead of the windows-specific release - to be fair, I'm running Bootcamp Windows 10 on a mac and my other computer is Ubuntu, so I cross my eyes sometimes).
This issue could be fixed with a simple addition to the README.md:
In the README.md Under the "How To Install" header, in the Windows: section, could you please also add a direct link to the releases page: https://github.com/SoftFever/OrcaSlicer/releases/
Maybe have it be step 1. Download the most recent version of OrcaSlicer for Windows here (ex. OrcaSlicer_V#.#.#_Win64.zip): https://github.com/SoftFever/OrcaSlicer/releases/
I had come across questions like this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/132fmi0/orcaslicer_v162_released/ji5fi5v/ and was a bit disappointed that you have to scroll to find a direct answer: https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/132fmi0/orcaslicer_v162_released/jkcr0er/
Thank you all!
