I tried using this extension in my magento 2.1.4 website by pasting the files in appropriate locations and running the commands on my local computer.
But after successful compilation of commands, there isn't any new option in magento backend to configure this. not I get any result on search automatically

This module is based on the core module of Magento_Search autocomplete, not configured in admin.
You can look in stores-> configuration-> CATALOG-> Catalog-> Catalog Search.
