Hi Schepp,

I wanted to deactivate the CSS-JS-Booster plugin because CSS updates didn't take effect. After I clicked on "Deactivate" it started to load and after a few seconds a Wordpress "Service" Error occurred. This happend four times.

After that I removed the folder. In WP Plugin overview the plugin is gone but the css still seems to be in a boostercache file.

Can you help me?

Regards

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

I think you did not delete the correct folder. The correct one you need to delete to remove the plugin would be /htdocs/wp-content/plugins/css-js-booster/ and I think you removed /htdocs/wp-content/plugins/css-js-booster/booster_cache/ which is not correct.

Sorry,

that was a bit too soon. Unfortunately that produced a total wordpress failure. I couldn't even get into the backend. Any other suggestions?

ps: are you German? Dann können wir auch auf Deutsch schreiben.

Hi Patrick,

Yes, I am German. But I think it is cool to stick with English so that people with the same problem can get help here.

Your problem is very strange, as are the ones you had before. You could try to reinstall the plugin by downloading and putting it manually back into place. Then you might try to deactivate it in WP and to uninstall it afterwards.

Oh, sure. I thought it was a private conversation.

Right now, I think it is totally broken down.

Sorry, any tipps?

Hi Patrick,

download the plugin manually from here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/css-js-booster/ and then extract it and put it in /htdocs/wp-content/plugins/. Then, theoretically, your WP-backend should be functional again.

It seems to work again. I will check it tomorrow. Thanks for your help so far.
