We need an agent on the nodes so that we can collect inventory information on a regular basis.

the inventory should contain the things that the current Rex.IO agent supports and additionally

A list of all packages + versions that are installed

So that we can later add proper patch management with the help of repositor.io.

The service daemon can be found here: https://github.com/RexIO/rex-io-service-os-daemon the current development branch is 0.5.
