Thanks I'd like to give 🙌

  • @gabalafou for doing the final review of the Github Light PR

Updates from last week ✔️

Challenges I faced and things I'd like assistance with 🙏

  • I'm still waiting for more feedback on the notebook authoring guide, so I didn't made a lot of progress in that front this week.

My availability for next week

  • I'll be here

Important items for discussion 💬

  • What is missing in Add WCAG and ARIA intro jupyter/accessibility#126 to be merged?
  • Anyone has the bandwidth to finish Mike PR? He said he would be super happy to see that work moving, but I wanted to check the priorities with the team.
  • Should I wait for Github dark before doing the release of jupyterlab accessible themes? Or should I go ahead and do the release as it is?

Sorry I'm late on this!

Something I learned this week

Thanks I'd like to give 🙌

  • I'd like to thank @steff456 for sharing her thoughts and insights and answering my questions about Jupyter notebooks and how she did her research with me during Camp Quansight

Updates from last week ✔️

  • Most of my week was spent digging into that list of a11y PRs I mentioned in a previous update. I went down a rabbit hole, looking at the history of the skip link, what purpose it serves in the context of JupyterLab. I summarized my findings in my review of the fix skip link PR
  • Reviewed Stephannie's GitHub Dark theme PR
  • Synced with Darian about bringing Tony's research findings into the Notebook widget used by both JupyterLab and Notebook 7.

My availability for next week

  • I'll be off on Friday, June 30
