[Bug]: Miiverse crashes the console on the app's splash screen when opened

What happened?

When I try to access miiverse, be it from any mii at Warawara Plaza or the app icon in the home and/or pause menu, my wii u freezes on the app splash screen. no loading sound comes out and no button input from the gamepad does anything, leaving my only choice force-shutting the wii u down from the console's power button. HOWEVER i know it isn't an issue with my connection, given I have successfully posted to juxt before via wii fit u, joined a gym community there and seen miss in SM3DW.

What did you expect to happen?

I expected the welcome to miiverse slideshow to pop up, in order to be able to use the service.

Steps to reproduce?

1. turn on wii u
2. access miiverse from a mii at warawara plaza or the icon at the bottom of the screen
3. watch the loading splash screen begin, but not make any sound whatsoever, leaving the console unresponsive.
