Can We Use an External PostgreSQL in Kubernetes

dear team,

we are planning on deploying OSM into a Kubernetes environment with having multiple pod replicas
so our question, do we still need postgresql inside each pod, or can we externalized it so that all pods will pointing to the same single postgresql instance?
