Seems that some motor controllers have a feature where user can connect the hall sensors and motor sensors in any combination and the firmware will be able to figure out the correct combination and use it afterwards.
This combination is saved in the persistent internal memory EERPOM.

Powering each phase and looking at reaction from hall sensors so it knows how to rotate, something like this.... we will need 2 check boxes in java app 1) autolearn 2) change direction.
This way its done with kelly controllers.
Adaptto does more, it rotates at some % throttle and then full, and sets the hall angles itself so its the most efficient.
