For long-running services consuming VDV-453/-454 data continuously, it doesn't really make sense to have a subscription expire, only to then re-subscribe using the same parameters.

There should be a way to "extend" an existing subscription, e.g. using the (VDV-454 only!) NurAktualisierung flag.
