Usecase:
A data partner wants to submit a data to the platform, but the data was initially picked out from a paper. The original author of the data is not the data partner himself, and hence does not want to take any credit for the data. The citation for the data displayed on the published project page should only reference the original paper.
Proposed implementation:
Have an option for the author to remove the default generated citations and only use the custom citations of the author's choice on the published project page.
This would include a UI change on the page below - probably a checkbox that could be ticked by the user to choose if he wants to not-include the default citations. (citations to be included by default - if the user specifically chooses to - only then we don't)

We discussed this at length in Tuesday PhysioNet/Nexus meeting. Some notes below:
We agreed that there was benefit in providing a clear method for researchers to re-share and augment datasets. Currently, there is not a well established community norm.
The method should ensure clear provenance of the data and should appropriately credit the data creators.
Outcome: Further work needed to outline an approach. Use this as a basis for our implementation.
