NLTM Error on proxy specification

Hi Steve,

I have referred the documentation for proxy configurations.

I am currently using application.properties to set custom settings and that is where I have specified the proxy address, port, username and password.

When the same is run, I am getting the below error:

Authenticatoin Scheme Negotiate not supported

NTLM authentication error: Credentils cannot be used for NTLM authentication: org.apache.http.auth.UsernamePasswordCredentials

An unexpected response from NPM while performing the mirror. Response: 407 authenticationrequired - Aborting

I would like to enforce the BASIC authentication mechanism for the proxy server to autheticate, is there a way to do that and not try NTLM by default ?

Also, I would like to tell that the NPM advisories dont seem to be blocked because when the same is hit through a browser, it works.

Please let me know what could be the issue ?
