Describe the Bug

Attempting to open a hybrid PDF using Collabora Office on IOS results in an error.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Collabora Office
  2. Tap on a hybrid PDF file.
  3. An error message is displayed.

Expected Behavior

The hybrid PDF file should be displayed, according to www.collaboraonline.com/blog/collabora-office-24-04, which announces improvements in the handling of hybrid PDFs. Being able to open them, would indeed improve their handling!

Actual Behavior

An error message is displayed:
"Failed to load the document. Please ensure the file type is supported and not corrupted, and try again"

Smartphone

  • Device: iPhone SE
  • OS: iOS 17.6.1
  • **Collabora Office 24.04.7.3

Additional Context

The error message occurs in both of these cases:

  • Opening a hybrid PDF that was created on the iPhone by opening a LibreOffice Writer .odt file which has been exported as a hybrid PDF by Collabora Office.
  • Opening a hybrid PDF that was created on a PC running Windows 10 using LibreOffice Writer, which has been copied to the iPhone using iTunes.

A sample file is attached.
